How the dlj.sk portal handles visitor data

dlj.sk is an unofficial information portal about Dobšiná Ice Cave. We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data.
2. What data we process
The portal has no registration or forms and uses no analytics or tracking scripts. We store no cookies for visitors.
The only data created during a visit are technical server logs (section 3).
3. Server logs
On every visit the server automatically logs the IP address, date and time, requested URL and browser identification (server log). We use it for security and attack prevention and for anonymous, cookie-free visitor statistics – the IP address is not stored in the statistics; a daily-changing one-way hash is used instead.
Logs are kept for 14 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the secure operation of the portal (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Cookies and browser storage
We store no cookies for visitors of the portal, which is why there is no consent banner.
In your browser we only remember your chosen colour theme (localStorage, key dlj_theme). This never leaves your device.
The portal administration (/admin) uses a technical login cookie that concerns only the portal administrator, not visitors.
5. Third parties
We do not sell or share personal data. Some content, however, is loaded by your browser directly from these providers:

These providers may log your device’s IP address when the content loads; that processing is governed by their own policies. The hiking trail map is served from our own server and sends no data to third parties. Navigation links (Google Maps, Mapy.com, OpenStreetMap) open only when you click them.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). You may also lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk).
7. Security

8. Service worker and offline cache
The portal uses a service worker (a browser technology) that stores static files (styles, scripts, photos, fonts) and visited pages in your browser’s local cache. Pages load faster and remain partly available offline – for example in the valley near the cave with a weak signal.
No personal data are stored, only public files of the portal. The cache is managed by your browser and is never sent anywhere.
How to turn it off: clear the site data for dlj.sk in your browser settings, or open the page with the parameter ?nosw=1.
